Hello Birgitta, and Jenny and Elta, This conversation has helped me think a bit more about this - I often feel this position is the hardest bit of SF for students to 'get' and I should probably spend more time on it. I've never been able to work o...

Hello, thanks for several answers - so quick too!! Not to mention helpful. What a great group. I've spent a lot of my life trying to meet other people's requirements when I really should recognise my own gut feelings. I've opened negotiations inst...

Hello, I've just been invited by a drug company rep to do a training day on "Time management, assertion, negotiation and people management skills" for nurses. Although I can easily see that SF will work well in each of these areas, this strikes me...

Hello. what a fast-growing group, which surely shows the interest in SF out there. I just wanted to say that many of us, I would guess, are not only teaching 'how to do SF' but also training on lots of other topics using an SF approach. I imagine ...

Hello Paul and all, This is just what I've been looking for. I must be no. 26. I'm about to leave my NHS work and focus much more on freelance training so this will be invaluable. All the best to all, Carole

Hi Carole,Thanks for your comments, very interesting. At the first of a set of 6 AL sets I intend to get them familiar with SF questionning by first introducing exercises that emphasise the importance of listening. I participated in a 'what do you want to think about?' exercise at Mark McKergow's SF training which was simple, practical and very effective in getting the message across. I'll let you know how it goes! All the best Pat

Hi Carole, thank you for your welcome. I look forward to sharing experiences with you and others, especially relating to how we can positively influence NHS professionals using SF. I am currently designing and facilitating a leadership programmefor ward sisters. My next workshop is introducing the concept of action learning using a SF approach. How have you used SF in groups for clinical supervision?
Best wishes, Pat
