Hi Coert, Thanks for the reminder - and I immediately went to my bookshelf to get my copy the book - need to reread a number of books, but I'll be going to the explanations first.

Hi, Berigitta, Thanks Jenny for reminding us of Nancy's very helpful exercise... I am working my way through “Time To Think”…again ;-) However, I find that my some of my more 'self-conscious' students often struggle with their practise of the not...

A continuation of the "acitivities-book" in electronic form, for comments on experiences, useful variations and new ideas (for volume 2). And for a discussion on how we apply sf principles in our work by solutionising our toolbox.

Just a word about intervision - we use this kind of peer supervision too, much more that supervisor/supervisee relationships. It helps make clear that there is learning in the process for everyone!

About your connection to Solution Focused Work (based on Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer at BFTC Milwaukee and others):
I am a coach and mentor in provate pratice --doing Solution Focused work.
I founded PROFACT in 1979 when I first began to consult to organasations in the Pretoria Region as a Certified Organisational Transactional Analyst (ITAA). Supervising Social Workers involved in various community development projects (think Sharpeville) I started looking for a novel approach to bring about change in a quick and lasting way - call it a miracle.

My love for being involved in corporate work took me from Namibia to Madagascar, Middelburg to Malawi, from Nelspruit to New Zealand. And still that elusive miracle - well... it seemed elusive.

I began with post graduate studies. I kept going… when I came across the concept of Solution-Focused practices I knew that I found a body of knowledge that answered my search!

What I am most proudest of / grateful for??? I completed the first transdisciplinary PhD on SF Practices by making full use of an “email” Supervising Committee and Solution-List-serve discussion forums... i.e. as far as I could establish. (2003-4)

My current research investigates the impact of change on work-life integration in the South African context – with specific reference to SF in Emotional, Physical and Spiritual Intelligences.
