Thank you for providing this article! Very interesting to read in it this:

"Solution-Focused Coaching in Coaching Psychology: A method for applying positive psychology in the workplace"

To see SF as an application of positive psychology IMHO is not in line with the "non psychological" intention of SF: "Positive Psychology is focused on explanations, SF is focussing the progress, not bothering about psychological explanations for it. For more please read Mark's blog: "Explanation focused or progress focused?"

And also to see solution-focused coaching as a mean to "take us miraculously - ping! - straight to a perfectly resolved future; which might be more possible than we think" in IMHO is a trivialising reduction of SF to the miracle question. Of course, this question sounds very "spectacular" - but (as I have learned e.g. from Insoo Kim Berg) is not "the core" of SF... and Insoo very often didn't use it....

For me in SF focusing on "small things" which already are working is the most powerful mean to dis-solve problems. Looking at a "miraculous perfect future" for me is a helpful intermediate step to get in distance to the "problem" and to become able to find already working "things".

I'm preparing to run a session at the forthcoming AI conference in Nepal, describing how we're working with 'Employeeship' (medarbetarskap) in Sweden. Dear Group - beefore I go wandering too far in the wilderness, has anyone had any involvement in applying SF to workplace change? Specifically a transition from a traditional, enclosed environment to an open, flexible workplace? Thanks!

I'm change manager in Italy, working with marco matera; I use SFApproach since last 3 - 4 years in supporting change mgmt projects and manager that are to change within it.
my approach is to help startegic manager to become "SF Facilitators" inside the company (as change agents). based on the SF process of steve we developed a specific interview for our goals.
it would be great to share experteases
