Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations

During the Follow-Up day after a two day training in SF Coaching for a group of Career Counselors, we let the participants develop their own Micro Tools. They gave us the permission to post them on this ning-group. One of them is already joined this ning.

All suggestions for improvement are welcome.

1. Intake Career Counseling (cc)

P: What brings you to CC?
L: What would be different for you if this CC trajectory proved to be very useful for you? What else?
U: What did you do in the past that helped you to develop your career? What else was useful?
S: What is the first thing we can do together today that will be useful for you?

2. "I want to know what I want"

P: So you want to find out what you want.
L: Imagine you knew, what would be different?
U: What helped you to find out what you want in the past / other contexts?
U: Who was helpful? How was that person helpful for you to find out what you wanted?
U: What else was helpful?
S: What is the first thing we can do here together, that will help you to make a first step towards finding out what you want?
S: What is the first step you can take, that will help you to discover what you want?

3. My dream job

P: I want a new job! ... but I'm not really sure which one
L: Suppose you found your dream job, how will you notice that this job suits you well?
U: Which elements regarding a job are important to you?
U: Suppose that a miracle happened and you managed to find a dream job. How would that dream job look like? What else?
U: What do you like / did you like to do? What else?
S: What could be the first step you could take to help you find out what your dream job looks like?
S: What would you like to change in your current job, to make it look more like your dream job?

This is great Anton, I too have used PLUS and USE (as evaluation tool) for preparation at meetings and must work out how to post on here.

Thanks Anton, I had a go, I still haven't yet got my head about how best to use this ning tool. This doesn't really feel like a discussion more information sharing!
