Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations

I have introduced SF management in my organisation. A high Tech IT company with some 140 specialists. The goal: improve the bottom line result (profit) and have more fun! We have just finished an extensive workshop with the management team. The ball is rolling. I will keep you posted on progress.
Allways looking for CEO's and managers with experience in this field to share knowledge and experience.

Great, Monika, to read this:
"2009 will be the year of enabling people to take ownership for quality"

Maybe for that - to enable individuals and especially teams - to take ownership for their outcomes the "Scrum" - framework might be very inspiring. And it is a very good option to combine it with SF - because it shares a lot of basics with SF.

There are also some books about Scrum, e.g.:

Hello Martin,

am very impressed by your contribution and would love to start an exchange of experiences made in applying SF in an IT company.

Am in a similar role like you (CEO of a company with 550 projectmanagers and engineers) and have just used the SF approach for the second time to shape our plans for 2009.

Within our customer segment - mainly global airlines and finance customers - the economic situation is hitting hard. 2009 will be the year of enabling people to take ownership for quality.

And thus become more valuable for custmers and partners and their first choice even in difficult times.

Will share more with pleasure

Hi Martin,
How nice to hear from you and your SF pioneering.
Peter and I are still working on our book on Solution Focused Organisations. If possible the book will be published in 2009. I will keep you informed!
Hope to see you in Texel?

Great! This again is a wonderful example that "techies" are very open to adapt alternative kinds of management! So: After having introduced SF maybe introducing some "Agility" might have a good chance....

Good luck! Hans-Peter

You want to learn more about "Solution Focus"?

You prefer a "step by step" introduction instead to start with reading some
voluminous books?

You would appreciate to have a complete "helicopter view" on SF after the first step…
