What is your connection to Solution Focused Work (based on Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer at BFTC Milwaukee and others)?
Christine Duvivier has a professional background in leading large-scale change. She is the founder of Impact Partners, a strategic consulting firm established seven years ago, specializing in coaching executive leaders and their teams to develop superior strategies and lead major organizational change. She is also a parent-- of two daughters, one of whom is a college freshman-- with her husband, David.

Last year, as a student herself, Christine earned a master’s degree in Positive Psychology (the study of human flourishing) at University of Pennsylvania. She focused her research on the strengths and gifts of teens who are not top students. Her work uncovers exciting opportunities—and damaging myths—in our approach to educating all of our children, both high and low performers. It encourages parents and educators to question our models, look beyond test scores and trophy counts, and understand what will have the greatest positive effect on our children’s lives.

While at the University of Pennsylvania, she was also certified to teach the Penn Resiliency Program, a program that helps kids reduce anxiety and depression. In January she went to Australia as part of a team that spent two weeks training teachers and administrators at the Geelong boarding school in Positive Psychology and Resilience.

Christine holds an MBA with Distinction from Cornell University in addition to her Master’s degree in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been a keynote speaker for Parent Organizations, Youth Organizations, the Microsoft East Region Women’s Conference and featured speaker for many groups including the Institute of International Research and Executive Enterprises.

She has been an active volunteer in CYO and Town Basketball, Girl Scouts, Town Meeting, the Wellesley Service League, WHS School Council and the PTSO.

Christine:

I enjoyed reading your bio, know what you are going through as I have a Junior in college and twins leaving for their Freshman year this fall.

I am interested in applying strength based approaches for teens, adults with developmental disabilities and adults with chronic illness.

Also, my brother lives in Wellesley!
