just read your interesting notes on the meeting w/ paul cilliers.
it seems that what where working at...... is only the beginning.
it's the beginning of a great adventure!

as for now, I'm confused about the direction the complexity theory and the systems theory are heading. Am I wrong that they are faltering at the practical implications? Any suggestions?

I don' think you are wrong. Most people misunderstand the implications of complexity - they think it can be dealt with as if it was a normal analysable system. Bot lots of the usual strategies are closed off - leaving an SF approach as a the logical choice of what you can meaningfully do.
