Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations

Those of you within reach of London might be interested to come along to monthly meetings of a recently-established London SF group. It includes practitioners from organisations, coaches, therapists - a lively mix. We have a facilitated group discussion for about 90 minutes, then sometimes people go for a meal together. (Lasagne last time).

The next meeting is on 6:00 pm Tuesday 7th October at The Rising Sun, 38 Cloth Fair, London, EC1A 7JQ. Near Farringdon and Barbican tube.

Please let David Taylor thedavidtaylor@yahoo.com know if you'd like to come, so he can reserve enough space.

Subsequent dates are:
Wed 5th Nov
Tue 2nd Dec
Wed 7th Jan
Tue 3rd Feb

Hope to see you at a meeting soon.

Hi, what are the 2009 London dates? Hope to make it one of these days!
Hi Zarine

Here are the dates for London group meetings.

Tue 7 April
Wed 6 May
Tue 2 Jun
Wed 1 Jul
Tue 4 Aug
Wed 2 Sep

For April and May, we've booked La Grande Marque on Ludgate Hill (downstairs club room) from 6 pm to 8.30 pm.

http://www.lagrandemarque.co.uk/

The format for a meeting of up to 2 hours:

Each event is hosted by Host of the Month.

We'll have taking of turns to host, decided either month by month, or a bit further in advance. Host ensures the meeting runs to time, according to the plan, or facilitates a change in plan if that seems more appropriate.
Ensures everyone gets a fair turn in, for example, the Hello section.

1 As people arrive, about 30 minutes free-for-all conversation, drink-buying, gossip, whatever.

2 Saying Hello; a hosted 20' round of a solutions-focused saying hello
-
eg, Something going well this week - for each person to introduce themselves.

3 Topic of the session. This may be a topic that emerges from the Hello section, that the host discovers is what people want to discuss. It may be a Reflecting Team on someone's issue. It may be a presentation by a guest or a regular member. The topic may be announced in advance - eg if it's a guest who will lead something - or may emerge on the night. But there will be something, and it will be facilitated either by the host or by someone else present.

4 London Chapter agenda items - eg eg dates, hosts, speakers, news, etc).

5 Remaining time - free-for-all

You prefer a "step by step" introduction instead to start with reading some
