Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations

"Think Twice, Be Nice" - join our new community and share ideas

Some of you know that in May 2008, 2 weeks after SOL Cologne, my nephew Toby Cooke died from head injuries following a road rage attack. I wrote my first (and only) blog post here while he was in intensive care.

It's been a really tough year since then, and we're finally at the end of the legal process. A man is now in prison, having pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

The anniversary of Toby's passing is in in 2 weeks' time on 26 May. It's hard to stay positive sometimes, but we're determined to be part of the solution, rather than letting anger and resentment eat away at us. So we've started an initiative and we want a community to grow and be involved with us. Please visit www.thinktwicebenice.ning.com and join us if it touches you or your work. Please tell your friends and colleagues who work in related fields, or who have personal experience of violence or road rage, and who want to be part of the solution too. We want all the help we can get.

I also want it to be SF and value the input and ideas from my SOL colleagues (I wonder, can we talk about causes of violence in an SF way? Is this useful, and if not, what could be?)

Thanks and hugs - maybe see you in Texel
