Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations
Hi everybody, this is a question for the family therapists amongst you: old parents who need care (health, Alzheimer etc.) and there is huge problem amongst the children about the care taking: meaning that it is usually one who carries all the load, and it always seems to be the daughter. Result conflict, resentments, entrenched problem focussed mechanisms etc.
You guessed it, I currently have a client in this situation (not the first one BTW).
What are your experiences here? What seems to work? Any resources, SF articles, books, in particular about the daughter-having-to-do-it-all?
Merci beaucoup,
Rima

Hi!
I recently read this book: "Whose Life? Working with older people" Iveson, Chris (1990 revised and expanded 2001) London: BT Press. and I have found a lot to help me in my work with elderly and their families.
Kindly
Catharina
Thanks a lot, Catharina, I will check this out right away!
Warmly, Rima

You want to learn more about "Solution Focus"?
You prefer a "step by step" introduction instead to start with reading some voluminous books?
You would appreciate to have a complete "helicopter view" on SF after the first step…
