Thanks for your reply. 19 wonderful colleagues from Japan attended our workshop in Bucharest so you should have a good level of awareness for your session at J-SOL!
I'd like to upload our case study but I'm not quite sure how to do it on the SOL site - any ideas? Or, I could just e mail it to you if you give me your address. It's very much work in progress; Loraine and I are meeting next month to see how we can extend both the use of PLUS and our evaluation of it with learners.

Hi Michael
I thought you would like to know that Loraine Kennedy and I ran a very succesful workshop in SOL 2010 about using a SF approach in meetings. Of course, one of the techniques we discussed and demonstrated was the PLUS mico-tool. We presented a case study on how we have introduced the PLUS tool at Tate and this included some evaluation of the results. I will be adding this to the SOL website soon.There was a lot of interest and it seems that PLUS is taking off in lots of different ways, so thanks again for the great idea!

Hello Michael, That sounds like a great conference in Helsinki. Is there a particular white paper or book that you'd recommend that shows how the knowledge of brain research can be practically applied to SF work?

We did talk about brain science in Cologne. It is fascinating stuff. I'm hoping to make it to Bucharest next year and share some ways I've found to make the science make sense to neophytes. thanks again. Bob

Cool, you must be very good!
I was asking just because Vercelli is not the typical destination for foreigners when they come to Italy, preferring cities like Rome, Florence of Venice.
BTW, I live next to Corso Vercelli, so named because in ancient times it was the beginning of the road that led West, to Novarea, Vercelli and then Torino... I'll take that as an interesting coincidence! :-)

2 things I loved about your comment to Mark's post, besides the idea of us being "multi-determined" (inside, outside, in-between and let's throw in some dynamics so we have emergence, too):

I agree 100%. That is why I have been exploring these questions, in a book I wrote and now in an article I am writing
- "I'm still convinced that suggestions of adding things like evolution, neuroscience, behavioral econonics, economics as central to the "reach-out" endevour should be taken into account. Beeing the sceptic naturalist that I am, I will champion this view whenever I can."
Well, I will support your championing this view!
And I would self-describe myself as a "skeptic naturalist" too...

Hi Michael, I know you have great plans with the micro-tools and I guess your website fits in that plan. The advantage of a ning-group on Micro-Tools could be that it's linked to this broader ning-site, and that everybody can contribute easily (which might also be possible on the specialized site you had in mind, of course). Anyway I'm curious to see what happens and happy to contribute.

Hello Michael, Liselotte and I have conducted a three day training in Solution Focused Coaching for career consultants. During the final day we let them develop SF Micro Tools for their practice. They came up with three! I wonder if you would be interested in starting a Ning group on Micro Tools where this ideas can be shared. The career consultants in our group were interested in developing these tools further and join this ning.
