Dear SOL World friends,Sarah Cudmore, Klaus Schenck and Wendy Van den Bulck have recently had a first dream session together about arrangements for the SOL Retreat this coming year. A lot still has to figured out and co-created, as a first step, this mail is a ‘save-the-date’.The basic concept stays untouched: the Retreat is an opportunity to meet other SF practitioners in an informal environment so that we learn more about how we each think and apply SF in our work and lives. And to co-create…See More
What is your connection to Solution Focused Work (based on Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer at BFTC Milwaukee and others)?
Eight SOL-conferences so far (and member of the organizing group for the Cologne-SOL in 2008), participated in various workshops with solutionists like Insoo Kim Berg, Ben Furman, Matthias Varga von Kibed; designed and facilitated own workshops combining SF with management topics; conducted SF vocational coaching, introduced SF-management to an Amercian state agency, taught some SF organizational development at academic level; served as interim "manager of competence development" in a private university; currently teaching part time at four academic sites in southwest Germany for various aspects of organizational behavior - again active in some systemic and SF-guerilla way ...
Dear Solutionists, once again I was touched by more aspects of, and encounters during the SOL conference than I could possibly ever try and capture in photographs. Nevertheless I hope some of the events, and people's, spirit reflects in the photos I took. I am deeply grateful for this - your - spirit. Indeed. - Klaus

For those of you wonderful solutionists who, after the Texellent conference of this year feel a bit nostalgic for former conferences, photosouvenirs of those are still accessible online.
Just replace the year's count in the link for the appropriate year (2003 - 2009).
The "SOLogne" in 2008 for example is accessible via this URL:
a photograph of the SOL steering group, as convened during the Texel conference (and photographed by David Weber), plus a view of the plenary in the De Hof church are now available on this ning side.
More (quite some ...) of my photosouvenirs (including three nice ones I received from Loraine Kennedy) are accessible via this link:
Thank you for the metaphore-session with Suzan in Bucharest. In the evening during the special dinner I mentioned about a book which might interest you, so the name of that book is: (Jorge Bucay) Dejame que te cuente. So I noticed that it was written in spainish, but it`s translated to finnish so I think that it is translated in other languages too. I liked the book very much, perhaps You like it too because there are stories and metaphores which might help us in our work. It is more about individual therapy but the therapeutist use every time some story and those stories are nice.
If you find that book interesting, let me know ! Enjoyable reading time to you and best regards from Finland,
I like to say to you that I really enjoyed your workshop. Thnak you very much for the sharing en the very inspiring way you did your performance. I have a very nice picture of you and Lina. So sent me you email adres and I will sent the picture to you.
my article would be about SF and how it could contribute to a different mindset...
so I studied a little bit, and I know I could "smuggle" some SF into it, however I have no direct contacts here and I would appreciate somebody that knows their organization better and can tell me what could work and what couldn't...
if you want we can continue our exchange via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I noticed that in the comment wall on the PLUS group you mentioned you received a request from the US Army; I am in contact with a former USMC officer who encouraged me to write a paper / proposal specifically aimed at the US forces.
I wonder if we could "join forces"... :-)
You want to learn more about "Solution Focus"? You prefer a "step by step" introduction instead to start with reading somevoluminous books? You would appreciate to have a complete "helicopter view" on SF after the first step…
