"Variations of the 6-Hat-Thinking-Model (E. De Bono) as part of the solutionfocused (advisory-) work“

Hello together!
Here is my own summary of the idea and the workshop (with some additional links).
You can find it also on

Thank you again, Peter, for having the chance to attend your workshop and to try out two times (one as coach, one as coachee) the 6 hats in an SF way together with Doris.

AND: We used ALL hats (also the white, black and blue) in a very fine and SF way!

So, for me, it is not necessary - also working in a SF way - to reduce the hats by omitting white, black and blue:

The WHITE is very helpful to look at that what we can observe - without judging it. This also is a good chance to think about how "facts" change lover time as a basis to talk about "positive differences"

The BLACK is very helpful to take in account all this, what might be dangerous risks or impediments on the way towards a solution step by step. Let's not negate dangerous risks or impediments: SF helps us to deal with them in a SF way. Ignoring dangerous risks or impediments because it is "not SF" is IMHO a misuse of SF.

The BLUE is very helpful to reflect upon the process how having done the pasts steps and how to do the next steps. Blue also might be the hat to think in a SF way about e.g. the confidence to do the next steps.

So, I propose:
*** use ALL 6 colourful hats in a SF way ***

Cheers
Hans-Peter
