What is your connection to Solution Focused Work (based on Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer at BFTC Milwaukee and others)?
Eva has been teaching the subjects of Psychology and Counselling for many years. After gaining an MA in SFBT, she became more involved with Change in many ways. At Change, she is currently a committee member, counsellor, mentor, course developer and trainer.

She is the founder member of the SFBT China aiming at making known the approach in Asia. Projects have undertaken includes SFBT workshop presentations at Hong Kong Shu Yan University in 2009 and 2011, and Beijing Normal University in 2009. She has contributed papers with Dr Dean-David Holyoake to the Asian Psychotherapy Journal.

SFBT China initiative has recently been transferred to Change with Eva and Dr Ricci Chang as the over-sea training co-ordinators. It is now a collaborative project with Dr Chang who is based in Mind-Pro Psychological Centre in Hong Kong.

Identity

Identity is culturally constructed. We acquire our own identity through shared understanding of cultural practices i.e. the positioning of own gender, race, class and status etc, it is a positioning and classification of ‘self’ within these repertoires of cultural practices that we gain our identity… http://www.changebrieftherapy.org/images/identity12.pdf
