Sharing and building Solution Focused practice in organisations
Eavesdrop and join in with email discussions about using solutions focused ideas in organisations
This email discussion group is a forum for those applying Solution Focused methods - based on the work of Steve de Shazer, Insoo Kim Berg and other 'brief therapy' practitioners - to organisational work, including change, facilitation, coaching and OD. Along with our online community at solworld.org, it is the 'official' SOLWorld forum in cyberspace, and is paid for out of monies recieved from the conferences. The list-owner and Jesper Christiansen.
From its inception in February 2002 until August 2016, the list was based on a listserv, SOLUTIONS-L, hosted by LSoft. As of August 2016, the list has moving to a google group and can be accessed here:
https://groups.google.com/a/solworldlist.net/forum/#!forum/solworldlist
Instructions for joining the list:
1. You’ll need a google account. Most people have one anyway, and they are very easy to set up.
2. When you go to the new group, you will see a blue button saying ‘Apply to join group’. Click on it. You will then see a form with a lot of options on it. Pay close attention to Email delivery preference. The default is ‘don’t send email updates’, but if you leave it like that then you won’t get the group emails in the same way as the old list. Change it using the drop-down menu to Notify me of every new message (to get all the messages as they are posting) or perhaps Send daily summaries (if you’d rather get a daily digest. You will also need to answer the simple anti-spam question on the form.
3. Then click ‘Apply to join the group’. It’s a process of manual adding, and Jesper and I will be doing our best to add you as soon as possible. We do however need to sleep occasionally so please be patient.
4. When we add you, you will get a notification email. This contains the group website address, so it’s worth saving somewhere. From then onwards you’ll get group messages as normal, just like on the old list. And all the old messages are right there to search through too.
I hope this is all do-able and you will be able to sign up quickly and easily. Any problems contact me at mark@sfwork.com. See you in the new group!
And here is that link: https://groups.google.com/a/solworldlist.net/d/forum/solworldlist.
Or just go to the front page of http://solworld.org and look below the list of forthcoming events – and there you’ll find the new list.
Once you are a member of the group: to post a message to the group, just send an email to solworldlist@solworldlist.net

You want to learn more about "Solution Focus"?
You prefer a "step by step" introduction instead to start with reading some voluminous books?
You would appreciate to have a complete "helicopter view" on SF after the first step…
