Event Description

Dear participants of the Summer Retreat
This coming weekend we'll visit the venue and make some preparations to welcome you. If you have any questions please let us know: solsummer2010@gmail.com

“Retreating” means being away from our usual environment and taking the time and space to become immersed in what is important to us at that very moment. As SF practitioners we would like to indulge in different things during our retreat... we imagine some moments of study, some time for professional exchange and practice, but also time for connection, time to be curious about the others, time for personal reflections and professional development. The range of activities will vary from uplifting group activities over buddy coaching sessions to moments of silence or outdoor games.

How?
Self organising will happen naturally when we share what is keeping us (all participants) busy, what we most long and need to do in order to relax or revive our mind and body that day.

Perhaps:
* share what it really means for us to be “present” for our clients,
* explore how we (mis)understand the goal and the miracle,
* think about how SF will evolve in the future
* go into the mountains with a buddy-coach,
* tape a coaching conversation and micro-analyse it,
* jump in the hot springs and free our minds
* indulge in a conversation about “how to be brief in organisations”
* watch a therapy movie with Insoo or Steve in it and have a useful conversation about it
* share some real fun team activity or trainers’ practice
* participate in reflective teams,
* allow new ideas to pop up in a guided SF visualisation,
* or .... just enjoy a healing massage?

This and much more will be possible in Fontana Passugg... As you can see, the retreat will be highly practical. We will all benefit from the experiences of skilled participants and be able to bring in our questions and discoveries.

We are 6 enthusiastic SOL world members and we have been dreaming of a real SF summer retreat... with other SF enthusiasts!

Yes Katalin, that helped a lot. I have only walked in sweden and Norway so I need all the information I can get. The huts sound great.
Thank you again! Yours Sussan

Dear Sussan and All, who's thinking about staying or coming earlier to enjoy the Swiss Alpes.
Switzerland is famous for it's huts in the Alpes and I think it's the best way to go for longer walks. Here you can find basic information in English and a map showing the huts.

As far I know tents are only welcome on camping places - but I never considered this option for myself.
Does this help further?
Warm greetings, Kati

Hello. I’m Sussan Öster from Köping, Sweden. I work in the field of Public health, Health Promotion. I’m about to learn SF from Eva Persson and Björn Johansson, CLUES. This year I’m attending their Solution surfers “Brief Coaching pure” education.

My special interest is to understand the phases and the type of questions and small difference language wise that is useful for clients individually. After grasping that I’d like to transform this into groups and organisations. I have two special interest:
-Leading groups about changing habits to get better health and quality of life (I educate leaders of groups)
-Develop new tools, or build on MOP-scale and W.W.Y.S.H-LINE, for leading processes with many people from one or many organisations who want to find common ground and solutions one a common issue (I have used e.g. “Framtidsverkstad” Future search, by Robert Jungk)

I may attend the retreat and If so I have a question to Katalin (Björn said I should ask you): I may stay and go for one weeks walk somewhere near Zurich. Where would you suggest. Is it allowed to sleep in a tent? Is there any nonexpensive alternatives to stay overnight along any hiking trail? What about maps? If you have time to contackt me off list is my e-mail sussan.oster@ltv.se I also want to say thank you for interesting days in Karlstad with you and Jesper last october!

Thanks for now… after writing this it becomes hard not to attend. After visualising and formulate “it” in words it becomes “more true”.

My name is Nicoline and I am a quality manager in healthcare. We start implementing solutionfocus approach to our organisation in about 2005.Björn Johansson has helped with this and support our learning lessons in different parts of the organisation. I think we can improve healthcare as a system quicker and more joyable with a solutionsfocus approach. As I also participate in a masterporgram of improvement I would like to study this approach.
Comparing organisational changes and how solutionsfocus influence this changes?

My interest is to see the solutionsfocus from a mangement perspective. Can leaders become better leaders using this approach? Can an organisations become more effective?

I am looking forward to the retreat to learn, experience and understand more and on the same time have fun and relax.

I am so glad that so many already have sign up for our summer retreat! I hope you also want to share what you are interesting in just now. I am very interested in microanalysis and how do we create dialogue. Looking forward hearing about what keep you busy.

Because of other commitments I have at present, it's most unlikely that I can be at SOL Bucharest, and I'm very sad about that... :-( However, I really love the idea of this SOL Retreat and I'm thrilled I can be part of it... Big hugs and see you there! Sue :-D
